A wonderful rhythm keeper, our sonorous cacho bell shaker is handcrafted in Peru. The handle is made from bamboo. The bell straps come in various colors and is trimmed with wispy tassels.

Cachos are important to indigenous music and these hand-crafted Andean cachos are made in Peru.  A traditional percussion instrument from the Andes, they have a rich pre-Colombian tradition. All are made either with seed pods or bells. Cachos are bound together with string and adorned with a hand woven cinta, or strap, either by being attached to or around something. Cachos are used by Andean groups to keep rhythm when they are shaken to the beat.
