Aloha Bay's Chakra Incense is a premium incense fragranced with spices, herbs, natural oils, resins, flower petals, woods, and high-quality perfumes for some scents, all adhered by honey, litsea tree bark, and tree saps. NOT DIPPED IN CHEMICALS.
Hand crafted in India by women, earning fair wages with benefits in a clean and safe work environment, our traditional style incense is of exceptional quality and made in a process that dates back centuries. Now for safety and health reasons, machine rolled incense is preferred over the hand rolling method used in the past.
Each pack contains 36 sticks in a clear, cellophane bag with a descriptive Chakra label. To distinguish scents, you'll see the corresponding Chakra color on the stem of each stick of Chakra Incense. Choose from seven different Chakra Incense aromas.
Incense has been around for thousands of years and its use can be traced in practically every culture on our planet. Archeologists have found ancient texts and other evidence of incense use in the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia, Phoenicia, Arabia, Egypt, India, Greece, and Rome. Incense is still popular today and is burned to:
• Increase calm and focus • Reduce stress and anxiety • Stimulate creativity or aid sleep • Commemorate some special occasion • Complement yoga or meditation practices • Cover household smells such as from cooking or pet odor |
• Introduce a pleasant aroma and lend positive energy to an environment
Over the past several decades incense has become widely used and can be found everywhere from gas stations and gift stores to natural food retailers. Aromatherapy gains modern popularity alongside the resurgence of incense being used as an alternative healing modality. The belief that certain aromas have beneficial effects on the body and mind is also known as aromacology. As fragrances continue to play an important role in evoking feelings and emotions, Aloha Bay's Chakra Incense is a perfect scent delivery system utilizing aromacology to enhance the user's everyday life.
There are no regulations for incense, much like candles, and telling the difference between premium incense and a dipped or a scented stick does take some knowledge of how incense is made traditionally. The quality of incense can vary widely as some incenses are 100% natural and others may be full of chemical adhesives and binding agents among other things. This is why it is important to only burn incense bought from a reputable source.
Aloha Bay sources its machine rolled chakra incense from a 3rd generation, family owned factory on the outskirts of Mumbai, India, that employs about 40 craftspeople. Aloha Bay chooses to work with our partners in India as the owner, Raj, takes safety seriously. At Aloha Bay it's not all about designing and producing premium products; we are also concerned with providing good wages to indigenous communities encouraging them to maintain their cultural heritage, foster cooperation, tolerance, and peace in a safe working environment.
