Palo Santo, Bursera graveolens, translates to Holy Stick, is an aromatic incense used for centuries by the Incas and indigenous peoples of the Andes as a spiritual remedy for purifying and cleansing. It is often used by the Shamans in sacred plant ceremonies. The scented smoke is said to spark creativity.
Our Palo Santo is sustainably wild harvested from naturally fallen trees and branches that lie dead for 4-10 years before they are harvested. A portion of the sale goes to help replant these sacred trees.
Our Palo Santo has a fine citrus aroma with underlying notes reminiscent of frankincense, its close relative.
